14 Av I think Shmuli and his friends are up to something. They kept nodding and winking at each other all through breakfast. Rivkah said it's something to do with baking but I'm sure she had got that wrong. Shmuli would never get involved in something like that. He got upset with Galit when he wanted him to help with the bread. If there is mischief afoot I am glad Shmuel is thinking of keeping him busy with the sheep. As were spreading out more grapes in the sun this morning we had a good view of the square. I caught sight of the boys slinking towards the meeting tree with a basket of what looked like bread. They kept looking around as if they did not want to be seen. Maybe Rivkah is right but it is very odd. I took time with Chava this afternoon to show her some more advanced weaving. I must admit she learns fast. Milchah babysat while she made fruit baskets, now she is settled with us that arrangement works quite well.
